New Maps? But Where Are You?

You may have noticed that we just released our new 2012 maps recognizing NC hospitals for excellence in Tobacco, Nutrition and Physical Activity. Has your status changed? Wondering why?
For more than five years NC Prevention Partners has been funded by The Duke Endowment to work with every hospital in the state to improve their wellness environment, first focusing on tobacco prevention and then healthy eating. As part of this grant funding, hospitals had complete access to WorkHealthy America, our executive web-based assessment and improvement tool.
Funding from The Duke Endowment for Red Apple recognition for a healthy food environment ended in December, 2010, but we continued to work with hospitals for a full year to give you access to WorkHealthy America and recognize achievements.
We know that you’ll never stop working to improve your wellness environment, and we can help you be successful. We propose continuing our partnership on all fronts, not just the Gold Star and Heart for Tobacco (which is grant funded, and free to you, until June 2012).
We have created a special package for NC hospitals to receive full access to WorkHealthy America (including assessment, tailored reports, toolboxes, and access to our web- and in-person trainings) and recognition on our statewide maps.
