Obesity is affecting one out of three Americans, but employers can make a difference, according to a recent Centers for Disease Prevention and Control video. A recent RTI International study found that NC could save 9.9 percent on overall medical costs and 13.1 percent on Medicaid costs if all obese people in the state were normal weight. Employers can do more to help employees lead healthier lives while at work and when they go home.
