Businesses and organizations in Rowan County gathered on April 11^th for a 'Corporate Wellness Check-Up' breakfast as a part of a three year workplace wellness initiative.  Participants shared workplace wellness goals and discussed processes for implementing WorkHealthy America^SM recommendations at their worksites. Organizations also provided each other with suggestions and collectively brainstormed strategies for overcoming challenges.  

Congratulations are in order for several North Carolina hospitals that recently met NC Prevention Partners' requirements for a physically active, healthy food, or tobacco-free environment.

Congratulations to New Hanover Regional Medical Center who is the first North Carolina hospital to earn all three WorkHealthy America^SM Gold awards: Gold Apple, Gold Star, and Gold Medal! New Hanover Regional Medical Center also named as a Center of Excellence hospital for employee wellness.
