The third annual NC Hospitals Quitline Champion Challenge to the NC Tobacco Use Quitline was launched on July 1, 2010 and will through April 30, 2011. The Challenge was initiated to increase awareness and the use of the NC Tobacco Use Quitline and encourages hospitals to refer patients to the Quitline using the Fax Referral Form.
NCPP gave out the following awards at our Annual Meeting on June 2, 2010:
Top Large Hospital, Top Medium Hospital, Top Small Hospital, and Highest Percentage of Accepted Calls.

Large Hospital: Carolinas Medical Center - 460 fax referrals
Medium Hospital: Carteret General Hospital – 119 fax referrals
